Players age 50 and over compete in five rounds (G/60;d5) on March 16-17, 2024. Entry Fee: $65 if received by February 29, 2024, otherwise $86. US Chess and TCA Memberships Required. Rounds: Saturday 10:00 am, 2:00 pm, 6:00 pm; Sunday 9:00 am, 1:00 pm. One 1/2 point bye (rounds 1-4 only) allowed if requested before round one.
Sections
- Blitz $10 entry - G/5;d0; 5 double round blitz (No 1/2 Point Byes)
- Sudden Death $30 entry - Sudden Death (One 1/2 Point Bye allowed in rounds: 1,2,3)
- Championship and Medium T-Shirt $100 entry - Single Entry in TX Senior Championship with a medium size T-shirt. (One 1/2 Point Bye allowed in rounds: 1,2,3,4)
- Summer Outdoor Scholastic $15 entry - G/15;d15 Swiss-Style event. Two sections are determined at the discretion of the tournament director. (One 1/2 Point Bye allowed in rounds: 1,2,3,4)
- Summer Outdoor Blitz $15 entry - G/5;d0 - Open, Swiss-style, blitz tournament. Five double-rounds (10 games). $15 early entry; $20 onsite entry. (No 1/2 Point Byes)
- Championship and XXL T-Shirt $100 entry - Single Entry in TX Senior Championship with an double extra large T-shirt. (One 1/2 Point Bye allowed in rounds: 1,2,3,4)
- Championship and XXXL T-Shirt $100 entry - Single Entry in TX Senior Championship with an triple extra large T-shirt. (One 1/2 Point Bye allowed in rounds: 1,2,3,4)
- Knight Club Scholastic $30 entry - G/15;+15 Scholastic 5 Rounds (One 1/2 Point Bye allowed in rounds: 1,2,3,4)
