Chess Tournaments for K-12 Students.

Scholastic Chess Events

Our club members help in organization and direction of many tournaments for youth. Scholastic chess events only allow K-12 students to participate. These events will often both US Chess rated sections and non-rated sections - so everyone can join in the fun.

Texas State Championships are organized by the Texas Chess Association. The 2017 State Championship was held at the Arlington Convention Center.

Region II Championships are organized by Region II of the the Texas Chess Association. The 2017 and 2018 Regional Championsips were held at Sherrod Elementary in Arlington.

Large Scholastic Events with rated and non-rated sections are held throughout the year in Arlington and surrounding cities.

Smaller Scholastic Events with targeted participants Some examples include the Arlington Library's Chess Club Championships and the Burleson ISD Elementary Chess tournament that are directed by the Arlington Chess Club.
